i hate how we grew up and stopped celebrating mid-autumn at grand’s now. you know, the days hanging by the porch, digging out the leftover packs of lanterns and candles from the previous year, lighting and hanging them onto bamboo sticks, having our moms nagging at how a fire might happen if we don’t handle those things well but that’s all they ever did, and eventually watch all the lanterns burn at the end of the night, so precious.
