Day 2:
Breakfast at the breakfast stall beside our accommodation. This was, if i didn’t remember wrongly, NTD20 or 25. Yummy. And the rest ordered like, burgers and noodles for about the same price as well.
Daisiessssssss making my heart bloom.
The church is made of paper, technically.
Direct translation of that 3 chinese characters: Paper Church
We then moved on to Sun Moon Lake, which imo, wasn’t of any great scenery. After looking at the lake, i just… can’t wait to get the day over with.
Boring peacock park or wtv its called.
The explanation of this is pretty interesting. I will try to illustrate now, i’m sorry if you are not imaginative enough. K, so here it goes. “T” is actually like a house, “A” is the owner of the house waiting for “I”, which is the visitor to come. The letter “W” happened when the owner and visitor finally met and the last “A” depicts the owner rejecting “N” which kind of, depicts the visitor presenting him a gift. And that’s what Taiwan tourism is all about. Interesting piece of art over there.
Wenwu Temple
After a long day, we finally started leaving for Taipei!!!!!!!! It takes about two and a half hours to get to Taipei from Taichung.
Our Taipei accommodation is actually like an apartment. Cozy, reasonably priced, double decked, a small kitcheny place for a basin(for washing of hands and plates and blah) and in built induction cooker, toilet, sufficient cupboard for storage and of course enough space for 7 adults. Location is super duper convenient as well, its connected to this shopping mall(Isquare) which is also connected to Taipei Main Station(MRT/TRA/HSR/Bus), only minutes walk away. In short, we were staying above Taipei Main (MRT/TRA/HSR/Bus) Station.
The first night market we attacked was the one near to our place and highly recommended by our driver and the person in charge of our accommodation. Tourists usually miss this night market out because very little people know of its existence. Its called Ning Xia Night Market. 5 mins of cab or 10-15 mins of walking to reach. CAB FARE WAS ONLY NTD80. We walked back though.
Okay, I was kind of relieved after we checked in and settled down at our Taipei accommodation because meeting the driver at the airport and checking in to the Taipei place were the only 2 things i was most worried about. And the night when we were finally walking on the streets of Taipei city, i was literally just screaming inside “OMG I’M HEREEEEEEE!!!!!”.
