I will try to go into bits and pieces of the trip, like the places and the food and my thoughts. I think its a place where you get the full worth of what you paid for, i feel like we are so deprived of what we actually deserve, given the fact that we are paying such large amount of taxes and the high standard of living here with almost every single thing in our life priced so high. People there are much courteous and considerate too. I took most of the photos with my Iphone because we were either too busy eating, shopping or looking for directions most of the time.
Day 1:
I forgot if that was a piece of chicken or pork cutlet but it was really good and that was just from some random resting stop.
And then we had a tour guide/driver to bring us to Taichung. He wasn’t really as friendly as i thought but yea wtv, doesnt matter.
The place we stayed in was pretty decent, sweet(we got a pink floral-ish themed room so yea) and just minutes walk away from the night market.
One of the most common mode of transport you will see in Taiwan.
Croquette with cheese(that doesn’t really taste like the cheese we have here)
Am definitely missing this fried squid thingy that you can choose to top with different types of sauce
Ice-cream worth NTD15
This fried prawn thingy was goooooood toooooooooo
My loot of that night. Turquoise dress for NTD 250 and the pair of floral shoes for NTD490. Exchange rate of 22.88, please do some maths.
SM and i were hungry again and then we decided to pop by their 7-11 for some instant noodles. NTD53 for the bigger bowl and NTD 23 for the smaller one. THEIR INSTANT CUP NOODLES COME WITH AT LEAST A PIECE OF REAL MEAT INSIDE. DAMN COOL AND ITS YUMMY
And then look at that thing i’m biting on(sry i don’t think you can overlook my greedy face wahaha), its actually grilled tempura topped with chilli powder and sesame. That was the highlight of my night, i love it so much i had to take a photo with it, somehow!!!! There were 3 big pieces of it on the satay stick and it only cost NTD11. WHICH IS ONLY LIKE 50 CENTS SDG. and the best part is that they don’t have any “minimum amount to purchase” kind of rule so you can just buy 1 or 2 sticks of those and be happy. Not like our yong tau foo stalls you know, “one item 50 cents but minimum 6 items”, irritating. My cousin and i felt bad to just buy one stick so we bought another stick of green pepper and that was our supper.
